GIVING

God gave his most valuable possession, His only begotten son, so we could have a great life. As a sign of gratitude, we should return the gift of giving by giving Christ our thanks and offer our best to Him. One way that we can do that is through our giving.

As a giving servant, you can take pride in knowing that you have helped to change the life of every person who is a living testament of the love offerings bestowed upon them through the ministries of Mt. Zion First Baptist Church. We can see the various communities that the Mt. Zion First Baptist family is able to touch, in the name of Jesus. We know that our tithes and offerings helped to make that happen.

All gifts are tax-deductible and giving statements are mailed to your home for your records and tax purposes.

IMPACT OF YOUR GIVING

“I will not offer to the Lord my God sacrifices that have cost me nothing.”   ~ 2 Samuel 24:24

The Lord Jesus wants us to give for the right reasons. Jesus warned His disciples not to give for the sake of being admired by men. “Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them,” He said (Matthew 6:1). When we give, we must be careful to examine our motives. We ought to give for the glory of God and the good of His people. We must desire His approval of our giving, rather than the praise and admiration of people. Are you giving for God’s praise or man’s?
