Christian Education

Christian education seeks to teach children about the world God created, how our faith is woven into each area of learning, and how to find purpose and meaning through God’s Will for our life.

Deacon and Deaconess Ministry

The office of the deacon is one of servanthood and service representing Christ through the action of the Holy Spirit. …Deacons are set apart for a ministry of mercy, service, and outreach.
The mission of the Deaconess Ministry is to meet the needs of the Mount Zion First Baptist Church, under the spiritual guidance of its Pastor and the Deacons by promoting the spiritual growth in the Church.
1 Timothy 8:11 – “Even so must their wives be grave, not slanders, sober, faithful in all things.” The purpose of the Deaconess Ministry is to care.

Couples Ministry

Our desire is to have married couples grow closer to one another through biblical principles and to bond with other couples for biblical accountability in their marriages. We, as a ministry, define marriage from a biblical perspective as consisting of one man and one woman (Genesis 3:18-24).

Choir Ministry

Church service just wouldn’t be complete without a hearing them sing praises unto the Lord.  This is the specialty of our Music Ministry; a talented group of people who devote their time to making a joyous noise to the Lord.

Usher Ministry

Our Ushers encourage fellowship among churchgoers, providing information about the church to visitors and extending an invitation to join.

Youth Ministry

Youth ministry, also commonly referred to as youth group, is an age-specific religious ministry of faith groups or other religious organizations, whose mission is to involve and engage with young people who attend their places of worship, or who live in their community sharing their belief in God.  Giving them the solid foundation in Jesus Christ.
